Now you can type your text in your native language especially European and other Middle East and South Asian languages in your iPad Pro. Recently Apple updated both the 9.7 and 12.9-inch Smart Keyboards to include versions localized for British English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Italian, Arabic, Thai and others. So that means you need not rely on US English only.
Apple’s Smart Keyboard folds out when you want a real, tactile keyboard experience to type text and boost productivity, and then fold up out of your way when you want to go back to full-on tablet viewing or playing any pokies game. It uses the Smart Connector, so it attaches magnetically to both draw power and transfer data, which makes it more reliable than typical Bluetooth keyboards.
Composed of a single piece of laser ablated fabric, and using the same butterfly mechanisms as the MacBook, the Smart Keyboard does not have that traditional, single-key clickety-clack feeling, but gains liquid resistance and maximum mobility.
Features of Smart Key board
Utility and Portability
The Smart Keyboard — available for both the 9.7‑inch and 12.9‑inch iPad Pro — features innovative technologies that free you from switches, plugs, and even pairing. It’s a perfect blend of utility and portability.
Easy to use and carry
Simply unfold the Smart Keyboard when you need it. Fold it to create a slim and lightweight cover when you don’t. The elegant design is durable enough to withstand everyday use.
Shortcuts at your fingertips
iOS 9 works seamlessly with the Smart Keyboard, adding a variety of useful QuickType features to your iPad Pro. With your on screen shortcut bar you can perform useful commands on iPad Pro like switching between apps or bringing up search — with familiar keyboard shortcuts on your Smart Keyboard. You can even interact with apps using their own built-in shortcuts. Just press and hold the Command key to see shortcuts in any app that supports them.
If you want to use keyboard shortcuts you will find it easy to use like Bold Italice or underlined or even copy and paste with just couple of taps. The onscreen Shortcut Bar can also be customized for third-party apps, so the tools you need are always right where you need them.
No plugs-No switches-No pairing
The Smart Connector transfers both data and power between iPad Pro and the Smart Keyboard — no batteries or charging required. Just attach the Smart Keyboard, then start typing. Also when you wish to disconnect, an onscreen keyboard automatically reappears.
The texture of the key board
The 12.9-inch Smart Keyboard was Apple’s first iPad-specific keyboard launched in 2010, now is mad from a single piece of custom woven fabric—taffeta and then laser ablated to form each key. While it uses the same domes inside the keys as the new MacBook, instead of butterfly switches, the structure of the fabric itself acts as part of the mechanism.
The fabric is treated with a durable water-resistant (DWR) coating to protect against spills and stains. Because there’s no space between the keys, there’s also nowhere for food or dirt particles to collect, and nowhere for liquids to get in.
The Smart Keyboard does hold its position well, whether on a table or on your lap. The connector’s magnet is stronger than the keyboard’s magnet as well. So, when you want to fold it back up, the connector comes off the keyboard easily, but the iPad stays stuck to the connector.
The software keyboard fails to go away when you attach the Smart Keyboard. Also you can’t just swipe it away either, because the minute you go to enter text, it comes back. Reseating the Smart Keyboard a few times usually gets it to go away, but it’s one of those things that just needs to work.
